LINKAGES BETWEEN AFRICAN VILLAGES AND GLOBAL VILLAGES   Leave a comment

African villages have cultures and so are the global villages. Many global villages are emerging as cultures, and as cultures they use telecomunications and information technologies to reassert their identities on the world stage. Global villages share many qualities and to somwe extent facilities with more traditional communities (global villages). Global villages can comprise individuals scattered around the globe who use the global communications and transportation infrastructure to remain in touch.

For example, ethnic groups separated by historical migration patterns can reconnect with their roots. Linkages do exist as observed between the American Peace Corps in several Zambian (African ) villages. These two groups share a number of things, such as culture, language and traditions. Those from the global villages learn, see and understand the challlenges (e.g. poor educational and health facilities, poverty, etc) that the African villages face. From the lessons learnt and experiences from African villages, the global villages can find ways allevieting the problems of the African villages. So linkages do exist between the two villages under discussion.
